My husband saw Pope Francis kiss a profoundly disabled man on T.V. It was the first (and only) time that I saw tears in his eyes.
I decided to paint a picture representing the compassion of Pope Francis. However this painting had a mind of its own.
The whole painting is a study in compassion — from the Pope, to the onlooking nun, to the outstretched hands of the boy’s mother.
And so the name of this painting is simply COMPASSION.
