THE SPIRITUALITY OF POPE FRANCIS

One Sunday (April 20, 2014) the Palm Beach Post printed a picture of Pope Francis on the cover of Parade (the weekly magazine included in the paper). The picture was of Pope Francis releasing a dove into the air. I was moved by the picture. To me it showed the spirituality of Pope Francis. with the dove representing the Holy Spirit. I painted this picture based on that photo. It is such a large, complex, painting, that it took me four years to finish it.
